Mount Pleasant police investigating suspicious death of 49-year-old woman

MOUNT PLEASANT -- Mount Pleasant police are investigating what they're calling the suspicious death of a 49-year-old woman.

Police have identified the woman as Leigh Walters. Police say Walters was found inside the Travelodge, located at 910 Sylvania Ave. in the Town of Yorkville.

An autopsy has been scheduled to help in determining the cause of death.

Police say this case is active and is being investigated by the Mount Pleasant Police Department.
