WATERFORD -- A 13-year-old teenager is in critical condition after being hit by a truck. He was crossing Main Street in front of the Waterford Public Library at 6:49 p.m. Saturday, December 1st.

Racine County Sheriff's Department says the driver of the truck pulled over to the side of the road briefly, but never got out of the car. The driver then continued eastbound down Hwy 20.

At this time, three people are in custody in connection with this hit and run. However, they are not arrested, but are considered "persons of interest."

A truck was also recovered at the scene. We're told the teenager was breathing but unconscious as he was being brought into the ambulance.

No word on the identity of the driver, or the victim. We don't know the extent of the teenager's injuries at this time.
