Packers tailgate party held just for kids in Richfield

RICHFIELD -- There were plenty of Packers tailgate parties on Sunday, as the Pack took on division rivals the Minnesota Vikings at Lambeau Field, but one party in Richfield was just for the kids.

The tailgate party at Richfield Elementary School was part of an initiative to help kids stay active and make healthy food choices.

The party was held thanks to a grant from "Fuel Up to Play 60" -- a program that encourages kids to eat healthy and get an hour of exercise a day.

Instead of beer and brats, there was chocolate milk and fruits and veggies on hand for this tailgate. There was also plenty of running around for the kids!

"I play soccer, baseball and a little bit of basketball and volleyball," Nicholas Bittner said.

Charlie McQuestion shared what he learned:

"Play for a little while, stay healthy and be active!" McQuestion said.

FOX6's Katrina Cravy emceed the event.
