Milwaukee -- At this time, many areas surrounding Milwaukee will be getting a white Christmas, but the snow is taking longer to reach the Milwaukee, Kenosha and Racine area.

On Thursday morning residents living in the Milwaukee, Kenosha and Racine area awoke to heavy rainfall, not snow.  At this time, temperatures through the area have been fluctuating around the freezing point -- creating concern about the possibility of freezing rain.

At this time, the roadways throughout Milwaukee  are clear of snow, allowing motorists and school buses to travel without incident.
