Richfield, Slinger seeing rain, prepare for more snowfall

RICHFIELD -- Winter storm and blizzard conditions swept across parts of Wisconsin Thursday morning, December 20th, creating slippery roadways. Two areas north of Milwaukee that were hit with snow were Richfield and Slinger.

The Pioneer Plaza Truck Stop in Richfield provided a resting place for truckers who needed to exit the roadways during dangerous winter weather conditions. And although the snowfall was short-lived, some issues arose due to trucks blocking the plow's ability to remove snow.

At this time, the snow has subsided in Richfield, and residents are seeing rain. However, snow is expect to hit the Richfield area later today.

Another area that received a decent amount of snow was Slinger -- and employees at Little Switzerland are happy with the amount.

"Heavy wet snow is going to make for great conditions -- we can open more terrain. Its absolutely going to be fantastic tonight," Mike Schmidt said.
