West Bend digs out after getting walloped by a snow storm

WEST BEND -- The heavy, wet snow created problems for some homeowners in West Bend -- problems related to power.

The heavy snow pulled branches down in one neighborhood. Those branches came too close to a high-voltage line. Sparks and burning followed. That forced police to close off an alley.

In another neighborhood, the weight of the snow was too much for one tree which crashed onto a parked car. Cleaning up after snow was in the plans for the owner of the vehicle. Cleaning up from a fallen tree was not.

While crews were keeping most roads clear in West Bend, there were a number of cars momentarily stranded in the snow.
