Serial bank robber sentenced to more than 5 years in prison

MILWAUKEE -- Convicted serial bank robber Michael Scott was sentenced on Friday, December 21st to five years and five months in prison for each of ten counts of bank robbery.

Scott was also sentenced to three years of supervised released after the initial confinement is complete. He also owes $28,150 in restitution and has a special assessment of $1,000.

Scott was charged with ten counts of federal bank robbery after being arrested in July. The robbery spree Scott was accused of being responsible for began in April at Johnson Bank in Kenosha. 

Surveillance pictures picked up some of Scott’s confessed robberies. They included banks in West Bend, Fond du Lac, Richfield and Delafield.
