Cudahy police investigate fatal stabbing from Saturday

CUDAHY — A 52-year-old man was fatally stabbing in an apartment near Layton and Kirkwood early Saturday morning, December 22nd.

Police were called to the building around 1:30 a.m. and found the victim had a stab wound to his back. He was taken to Froedtert Hospital where he later died.

About 40 minutes after the initial call for help to police was made, a St. Francis police officer stopped an individual who was found to be a person of interest in relation to the stabbing in Cudahy. The 25-year-old male was brought in for questioning and is a known acquaintance to the stabbing victim.

Officials say this incident was not a random act. The 25-year-old subject remains in custody.
