Police looking for vehicles, individuals involved in incident on east side

MILWAUKEE -- A driver tried to mow down people on a sidewalk on Milwaukee's east side, and it was all caught on camera. Now, police are investigating.

On Saturday night, December 22nd, police responded to a disturbance on Milwaukee's east side. By the time police arrived at the scene, the incident caught on camera was over -- but now that the video has surfaced, police are looking for the individuals and vehicles involved.

Cell phone video taken from two different angles shows what began as a fight involving several women on Farwell Avenue near Kenilworth Place. Then, when one of the women tried to leave in her car, another woman broke her headlight.

The driver then reacted by swinging her car right into the other woman. The driver then backed up onto the sidewalk and tried to run down her attacker -- not just once, but several times!

Someone shooting cell phone video from the ground ran backwards, but kept rolling.

That's when the driver gunned her car about 100 feet down the sidewalk, taking out a parking meter, while her targets jumped out of the way to avoid being mowed down.

The driver then headed down Farwell the wrong way, before getting out of her vehicle and tossing her shoe.

When the driver saw the flashing lights of Milwaukee police cars, she took off down Farwell.

Anyone with information on the people or vehicles involved should call Milwaukee police at (414) 935-7213.
