Winter Fest runs through New Year's Eve in downtown Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE — Winter Fest runs through Monday, December 31st at the Delta Center in downtown Milwaukee. Winter Fest offers over 50 attractions for family members from tots to adults. This year’s Winter Fest has new “zones” designed to match age groups and interests. With more than 50 different rides, games, and activities, there is plenty to do!

Winter Fest is a giant festival held indoors, with rides, games and even snow! Winter Fest provides kids a chance to burn off some energy and parents get a break.

The festival offers something for everyone.

"It's a family-friendly event. Something from (age) two to (age) 80! It's a place where we can make memories," organizer Cheryl McShane said.

Kids can take a ride through a winter village, the brave can fly through the air on a zip line and get a rush on the 'Catch 'N Air' ride.

Beth Burrows and her son Benjamin spent a day with family at the festival.

"They've got tons of wonderful activities for the kids. Lots of ways to stay nice and active. It's wonderful for us to be able to find something to do and be able to stay warm and just have a great time and spend time with our family, which is really wonderful," Burrows said.

With the holidays over, Winter Fest provides one more way to make some family memories before the kids head back to school.

On New Year's Eve, Winter Fest offers a family-friendly celebration with a countdown at 9:00 p.m.
