Repairers of the Breach open round-the-clock on New Year’s Eve/Day

MILWAUKEE — With the forecast calling for single-digit temperatures and below zero wind chills for New Year’s, Repairers of the Breach has announced round-the-clock operation for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day at it’s Vliet Street daytime homeless shelter.

Three large rooms on the second floor of the expanded resource center have been equipped with chairs and lounges, and separate areas for warmth and rest have been reserved for men and women wishing to use the center.    

Repairers of the Breach officials say financial contributions and donations of warm clothing, blankets and coats are still needed this winter.

Material goods can be dropped off at 1335 W. Vliet Street. Financial donations can be made to Repairers of the Breach, P.O. Box 13791, Milwaukee, WI 53213.
