Family of Nick Wilcox ask for public's help in search

MILWAUKEE -- Family and friends of Nick Wilcox are asking for the public's help on Friday night, Jan. 4 in their search for the missing man.

Wilcox was last seen outside the Irish Rec Room on Old World 3rd St. early Tuesday morning, Jan 1.

Wilcox was out celebrating on New Year’s Eve with friends, when he reportedly left the bar around 2 a.m. and has not been seen since.

Family and friends gathered at the Irish Rec Room on Friday evening -- asking for the public's help to distribute flyers of Wilcox.

They say they're hoping the extra exposure on the case will help lead to new clues and possibly finding Wilcox.

The family also went from bar to bar, asking staff members they said might have been working on New Year's Eve.

"There may be people that have been out on New Year's and are gonna be out tonight because it's a Friday. RIght now that's our main concerns," said a member of the Wilcox family.

The family is asking people who were out that night to check their phones, saying that it's possible that anyone holds a clue to Nick's whereabouts.

"Look at your phones, if you got pictures, if you took pictures, maybe he might be in the background," said a member of the Wilcox family.

Nick's friends and family said they will be out into the late hours handing out flyers, talking to the downtown crowd.

They said they will do it again tomorrow.

And they will be out the next day, and the next day.

And so on, until they find him, the Wilcox family said.

Milwaukee police are urging anyone with information to contact the Sensitive Crimes Division at 414-935-7403.
