WEST ALLIS -- Brides-to-be had the chance this weekend to get a little help planning their big day! The 45th annual Wonderful World of Weddings took over the Wisconsin Exposition Center at State Fair Park on Saturday and Sunday, January 5th and 6th.

175 wedding professionals were represented at this annual trade show. Brides-to-be had the chance to take a look at wedding gowns, tuxedos, cakes, photographers, florists, reception facilities, music, limos and more! There were also bridal fashion shows held showcasing the latest gowns and accessories.

Tenia Nash was one of many brides-to-be who attended this weekend's event to get ideas for her big day.

"It's been very, very stressful. I see a lot of brides and hopefully I'm not the only one in crunch time right now," Nash said.

The goal of the event was to provide a sort of one-stop-shop for brides-to-be, and make planning a bit easier.

"Definitely easier that it's all in one place. Get a good bg full of information and sort through it when we get home. It's very exciting. I brought a lot of good, supportive people with me and we're excited for the day," newly engaged Amy Bauer said.

Brides-to-be were even able to sample food and take a look at table settings.

"I'm looking for cakes. Everything else is basically settled," Nash, who has just a few months before her wedding said.

Experts were on hand to help with decision-making for what will likely be the biggest day of these bride-to-be's lives.

"All of the details aren't important. You're going to spend the rest of your life with the person that you love. Don't lose focus on what really matters," Beth Stone with Eva's Bridal Center said.
