Two people fatally shot on Milwaukee's south side

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- 44-year-old Michael Parker and 29-year-old Authur Robinson were found fatally shot near S. 24th Street and W. Scott Street early Tuesday, January 15th.

Police were called to the scene around 1:30 a.m. for a report of a man lying in the roadway. Upon arrival, officers found a 44-year-old Michael Parker dead from a gunshot wound. During the investigation officers also found a 29-year-old Authur Robinson fatally shot in a nearby residence. Investigators believe the shootings are related.

John Voit says some residents woke up from the commotion.

"He said he heard the shots, he heard the glass break, someone jumping through the window got up, and stumbling and ran across the street and fell on that lawn," said Voit. "They were trying to give CPR to the body but they couldn't revive the person."

Gerardo Torres claims authorities looked at surveillance video from his sister's camera at the corner. But he says it didn't catch anything.

"They asked all the neighbors to see if they hear any gunshots or anything, but nobody heard nothing at that time," said Torres.

Neighbors say they are saddened by the loss and concerned about not knowing who the gunman is.

Police say there are no suspects in custody.
