BB, pellet guns confiscated in Whitefish Bay

WHITEFISH BAY (WITI) -- Whitefish Bay school officials say they learned of an incident potentially involving weapons and several students at the Whitefish Bay Middle School late Thursday, January 17th.

School officials say they immediately contacted police. Around midnight Friday, the school district was informed that a BB and pellet gun had been confiscated and the potential threat had been "mitigated."

Officials determined at that point that Whitefish Bay Schools were safe for students on Friday.

Officials say "appropriate student disciplinary action is occurring according to School Board policy to ensure student safety."
