Missing Brookfield woman, Amber Hammond found safe
Amber Hammond
BROOKFIELD (WITI) — Brookfield police say Amber Hammond was located at the Victory Outreach Church in Milwaukee — safe and uninjured. Hammond was reunited with her aunt and uncle.
Police were asking for the public’s help in their search for the 26-year-old.
Police say a witness saw Hammond’s picture on the news and informed the police that she had picked her up and given her a ride to the bus stop on 124th and Capitol. During the ride, Hammond told the witness she was heading to the church.
Hammond has a mild form of autism. Police say she functions with the mentality of a six-year-old child.
Hammond lives with her aunt and uncle in the City of Brookfield.
