Blue leads Marquette Past South Florida, 63-50

MILWAUKEE - Without any interruption from "the bat", Marquette's Golden Eagles soared over the South Florida Bulls, 63-50 on Monday night at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.

The mammal which stopped play during Saturday's MU Providence game left the building.

Enter Vander Blue; the junior guard scored a career-high 30 points, 21 in the 2nd half of the Big East bout that saw coach Buzz Williams surprising bunch improve their record to 6-1 in the conference; that's good for a first place tie with Syracuse.

MU extended its' home winning streak to 21 games.

Junior forward Davante Gardner was ejected after being charged with a flagrant-2 foul with 13:46 left in the second half.  The team's second leading scorer might be suspended for the Louisville game on Sunday; the tape is subject to review by the Big East office.
