Convicted child killer escapes Kansas jail before sentencing

(CNN) -- A convicted child killer managed to walk right out of a Kansas jail Monday night, February 11th.

Now, police across several counties are searching for 29-year-old Antonio Brown, Senior.

He was set to be sentenced for first-degree murder in the death of his girlfriend's 14-month-old son in October 2011.

The Saline County sheriff says Brown took off Monday night, slipping out of a holding cell and through an unlocked door.

He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, gray jail pants and croc shoes.
