Google stock breaks $800 barrier

(FOX) — It’s a good day for Google and its stock which broke the $800 barrier.

The milestone comes more than five years after Google initially hit $700 per share. That was in 2007  — and then Google stock tumbled when the economy collapsed.

Google stock has gone up about 35% since co-founder Larry Page replaced Eric Schmidt as CEO in April 2011.
