Racine man charged with armed robbery, stalking

Narada Voss

RACINE CO. (WITI) -- 32-year-old Narada Voss faces multiple charges including armed robbery and stalking for an incident involving a former girlfriend on Monday, February 18th.

According to the criminal complaint, Voss went to his former girlfriend's apartment building in Mount Pleasant. The two had broken up approximately two months ago.

The complaint indicates Voss told the woman "to give him her phone. She stated that she would not give him her phone. Voss then pulled out a black handgun out of the side of his coat and said, 'Give me the (expletive) phone.' Because (the woman) feared for her safety, she gave him the phone and hurried back inside of her residence."

The complaint indicates Voss had "threatened her, stalked her and texted her multiple times." The woman had filed a restraining order against him but he was apparently not served.

When officers came to investigate the woman's complaint, police say Voss was "argumentative and uncooperative." The complaint indicates "Voss acted in a manner as it to start a physical altercation" with the officer. Voss was arrested and "continued to yell and swear" at the arresting officer on the way to the jail.

If convicted, Voss faces up to 40 years in prison and $100,000 in fines.
