Southeast Wisconsin digs out from winter storm

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Winter Weather Advisory until midnight for Sheboygan, Ozaukee, Milwaukee, Racine and Kenosha counties.

A large swath of SE WI is now covered with more than 6" of snow. In an odd twist we ended up with two bullseyes and they couldn't be further apart: Over 9" in parts of Kenosha and Sheboygan counties.

Light snow showers continue through your Wednesday evening with an additional 2-3" for lakeshore counties. Inland counties can expect 1-2". Gusty winds will lead to some blowing and drifting but the wet/packing snow is keeping this issue under control.

A few flurries are possible into Thursday and possibly Friday. The weekend looks quiet and a bit cooler but we're avoiding any Arctic air following the snow.

Tonight: Evening snow showers becoming less frequent. Blustery. Low: 26°. Wind: N 10-20 mph

Thursday: Mostly cloudy. Chance of flurries. Slight chance of a snow shower lakeside. Blustery. High: 34°. Wind: N 12-22 mph
