Samuel White charged in Twins Food Mart shooting

RACINE (WITI) -- 54-year-old Samuel White of Racine is facing one count of attempted first-degree intentional homicide in connection with a shooting that occurred at the Twins Food Mart near 16th and Packard on Thursday afternoon, February 28th.

According to the criminal complaint, White allegedly shot 24-year-old clerk and store owner,  Bashar Quedan, during an altercation at the Twins Food Mart.

According to the criminal complaint, Quedan was behind the counter talking to his father when White come into the store in an alleged intoxicated state. According to Quedan, White brought items up to the counter and began swearing at his father.

The criminal complain indicates, Quedan told White not to speak to his father in a disrespectful way, however, White continued to swear. At that time, Quedan escorted White out of the store.

Following the altercation, White allegedly returned to the Twins Food Mart, confronted Quedan, and then "shot at him a number of times in the neck." Following the shooting, White fled the scene on foot.

If convicted, White could face up to 60 years in prison.
