Snow plows, salters staying ahead of the snow in Milwaukee Co.

WAUWATOSA (WITI) -- Snow plows and salters were on the roads in Milwaukee County -- and appeared to have a handle on keeping the roads clear as of 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday, March 5th.

Milwaukee County is under a winter weather advisory until midnight. The FOX6 News Weather team is forecasting between three and five inches of new snow will fall within the county before all is said and done.

Drivers are urged to use caution and allow extra time to get to their destinations. That's largely because the snow and lower visibility will force drivers to slow down -- and cause more backups at intersections.
