Wyndham Milw. Airport Hotel hosts liquidation sale

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- A liquidation sale was held at the shuttered Wyndham Milwaukee Airport Hotel on Wednesday, March 13th.

Items were lined up inside the Wyndham Hotel on Wednesday -- and customers could purchase anything that interested them.

"We're going to open the doors, and everything in the hotel is going to be sold -- from soup to nuts," Donald Hayes, president of National Content Liquidators said.

The hotel closed in late 2012. A Los Angeles firm bought it and plans to tear it down.

On Wednesday, price tags hung from chandeliers, on tables, glasses were for sale and even bed sheets were available for those looking for a bargain.

"You name it, it's for sale," Hayes said.

Crowds were set to be let into the hotel 50 at a time.

"I'm sure thousands of people will be in and out of this building," Operations Manager Greg Hall said.

More than 30,000 items will be sold, including over 5,000 pillows and 2,500 sheets. Even the toilets are for sale!

The liquidation sale begins Thursday at 10:00 a.m. and will continue for the next 60 days, unless all the items are sold first.
