Chef Tyler Mader prepares defibrillator sandwich

He's and up-and-coming chef with a true passion for fusing food with family. Tyler Mader joins FOX6 WakeUp to make a defibrillator sandwich.

Description:  Situated atop a grilled sourdough bun, this 1-pound burger seasoned with the Spice House’s special blend is carefully draped in Wisconsin cheese tradition. Perfectly aged cheddar and fresh mozzarella from Cedar Grove Cheese farms are melted to perfection then topped with Nueske’s applewood smoked bacon, baby arugula and heirloom tomatoes. Layer two consists of Usinger’s famous original bratwurst and knackwurst butterflied and grilled to a golden brown. Our third layer represents Milwaukee’s strong German heritage with Mader’s famous homemade potato pancake.  Layer four welcomes in the sweetness as we top our sausages with Vidalia onions and baby bella mushrooms that have been caramelized in butter and brown sugar. Finally, we introduce our crown as we delicately finish our Defibrillator with two farm fresh fried eggs from S and R Egg Farms.

  1. 1 large sourdough bun cut in half (grilled)
  2. 1 pound hamburger
  3. Cheddar and mozzarella cheese
  4. Nueske’s applewood smoked bacon
  5. Baby arugula
  6. Heirloom tomatoes
  7. Usingers bratwurst and knackwurst
  8. Mader’s homemade potato pancake
  9. Caramelized Vidalia onions and baby bella mushrooms
  10. 2 Farm Fresh Eggs (over easy)
  11. Sourdough top
