10 suspected drug dealers arrested in Plymouth area

SHEBOYGAN (WITI) -- Sheboygan police officials say 10 suspected drug dealers were arrested in the Plymouth area following a six-month drug investigation.

"What we had were a lot of tips concerning the distribution of pills in the Plymouth area," Sheboygan Police Lt. Mike Williams said.

Sheboygan police officials say an investigation has been ongoing into the "prolific distribution" of Schedule II drugs in Plymouth -- which also led to the distribution of heroin.

"We tried to go after some of the dealers distributing some of these pills," Lt. Williams said.

Officials say seven suspects were taken into custody on Friday, March 15th. The other suspects were arrested at different times during the past week.

"Using confidential informants, we were able to make buys into these pill dealers and that led to people dealing heroin. Sometimes it would be getting into the car and driving around the block. Others were at a McDonald's, or in a parking lot," Lt. Williams said.

The following individuals were arrested:

"I think this is a great statement we're making to the community of Plymouth. We are trying to clean up a problem we've identified there," Lt. Williams said.

Lt. Williams says he hopes his unit has now sent a message in the wake of a drug bust that just kept snowballing.

"Making these arrests certainly sends a message to everybody else," Lt. Williams said.

Sheboygan police officials say the investigation into this case is ongoing.
