West Bend police arrest 53-year-old man for his 10th OWI

WEST BEND (WITI) — West Bend police arrested 53-year-old Keith Sukowski of West Bend for his 10th OWI.

Police say they received information that Sukowski was attempting to purchase alcohol and drive away at a gas station.

Investigators determined that after Sukowski left the store, he got into his vehicle and attempted to drive away, but was stopped by a citizen.

When contacted by a West Bend Police Officer, Sukowski refused the Standardized Field Sobriety Testing but did consent to Preliminary Breath Test which registered a 0.22%.

According to DMW records, Sukowski has nine prior offenses for Operating While Intoxicated dating back to 1991.

Sukowski was subsequently arrested for his 10th Offense Operating While Intoxicated and incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.

Sukowski is being held in the Washington County Jail on a $5,000 cash bail.
