Couple lucky to survive, uninjured after car lands on roof!

GLENDALE, CA (CNN) -- One minute a California couple is cruising along... out for a night on the town. The next minute the couple's car is on top of a roof!

"I was so scared and because it was very bad," Galina Wynn said.

Wynn and her husband were in a Cadillac when it went airborne and landed on a neighbor's house. She says they came down the hill and couldn't stop as they turned the corner.

"As soon as we hit the corner, the airbags deployed, and I don't even see where we're going from there because the view was obscured and I just heard that we stopped," Wynn said.

Wynn says she opened the door and saw the edge of the roof. The back end of the car came to rest on the edge of a retaining wall.

Paul Harrison, who lives down the street, heard the accident.

"It was just smash, crash, boom. And my neighbor, Brad Nelson, who was walking his dog says, 'Paul, come quick, I think there's been an accident,'" Harrison said.

Harrison grabbed a ladder and helped the Wynns off the roof.

One man was inside the house when the crash happened, but he wasn't injured.

In order to remove the car, fire officials called for a crane to do the heavy lifting. The Cadillac was badly damaged, but the roof needs only minor repairs.

"My neck is pulled and my back is hurting, but I don't think I broke anything and I consider both myself and my husband very, very lucky," Wynn said.
