Man charged for carrying concealed weapon, resisting

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- 19-year-old Jordan Cain of Milwaukee is facing one count of carrying a concealed weapon, one count of obstructing/resisting an officer and one count of bail jumping. This, after he allegedly fled the scene of an entry in progress on March 22nd.

According to the criminal complaint, police were dispatched to an entry in progress at 2840 N. 38th Street on March 22nd. Upon arrival, police observed Cain reaching inside a van parked at the location.

The complaint indicates police asked Cain, "hey, can we talk to you for a minute?" At that time, Cain fled the scene on foot. According to the criminal complaint, officers began chasing Cain, giving the verbal orders of "stop, police," but Cain continued to flee the scene.

According to authorities, Cain dropped a loaded semi automatic handgun during the chase. A check revealed Cain did not hold a permit to carry a concealed weapon.

The chase ended near Locust and N. 36th and Cain was taken into custody.

If convicted, Cain could face up to $10,000 in fines or nine months in prison.
