"Field of Dreams" site in Iowa now open to the public

DYERSVILLE, IOWA (WITI) -- It has been more than two decades since Terrance Mann told Ray Kinsella to build a baseball diamond in his Iowa cornfield.

Now, fans of "Field of Dreams" can see that exact field in person.

New owners took over the "Field of Dreams" site in Dyersville, Iowa. Now, fans of the 1989 movie can see the farmhouse, the bleachers and the field featured in the film.

The new owners say they plan to develop the cornfields nearby into a multi-field baseball and softball complex -- but the movie site and original field won't change.
