Some Brewers fans say Miller Park tailgate is one of the best

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The parking lots at Miller Park opened at 10:00 a.m. on Opening Day -- and fans wearing their blue and gold quickly filled the lots -- firing up their grills and cracking open a few cold beverages. Though it was a cold one, many Brewers fans said they are happy baseball is back!

Opening Day is a big day! We do it up!" Kevin Kiehl said.

Kiehl showed up at Miller Park Monday with a special "baseball brisket."

"It was rubbed, dried and then slow-smoked for 24 hours," Kiehl said.

This special tailgating dish was made by Kiehl himself, who worked for nine years as the Executive Chief to the Governor.

Kiehl's brisket fit many magnificent meals found outside Miller Park -- with fans dining on things like baja citrus shrimp and fresh guacamole!

Some fans say Milwaukee's Major League tailgate is one of the best in baseball.

"The game always matters, but it's a tradition for all of us, I think. We do, every year, come out. Good food, good people, cold weather. Gotta love it!" one fan said.

While 2013's Opening Day had many focused on food, some didn't hesitate to trade a plate for the first pitch.

"I just wanna get in there and see the stadium and get my seat and get me a soda," one fan said.
