Toxicology results released in death of Nick Wilcox

MILWAUKEE (WITI) — The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office on Thursday, April 4th released toxicology results from Nick Wilcox.

The 24-year-old was pulled from the Milwaukee River — months after he disappeared while celebrating with friends on New Year’s Eve.

The Medical Examiner’s Office says Wilcox’s blood alcohol level was .22.

Milwaukee police say Wilcox’s body was pulled from the river on March 28th.

An autopsy performed Friday morning, March 29th found no trauma or injury and attributes the death to accidental drowning.

Wilcox was last seen outside the Irish Rec Room on Old World 3rd St. early Tuesday morning, January 1st. Wilcox was out celebrating on New Year’s Eve with friends, when he reportedly left the bar with a man in a red shirt.

Friends last saw Wilcox heading down an alley outside the bar between 1:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. on New Year’s Day.

Wilcox’s family has said they believe Wilcox’s death may have involved foul play.
