Strong storm systems bring heavy rain, ice, snow and flooding



MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- A series of strong storm systems will move across Wisconsin through Thursday, April 11th with heavy rain, ice and snow. This system will bring the risk of power outages, treacherous road conditions and possible flooding.

Flood WATCH continues for all of southeast Wisconsin through Friday. With recent snow melt, thawing ground and the additional 3-4" of rain this week will lead to high water in flood prone areas. CLICK HERE for a list of FLOOD WARNINGS (be sure to select your county from the drop down box).

Freezing rain, ice and snow are possible Thursday, April 11th. While accumulations are unlikely around Milwaukee, parts north of Interstate 90-94 corridor could see a few inches of snow. Up to ¼ of an inch of ice accumulation is possible in west central Wisconsin. Snow totals of up to six inches are possible north of the Interstate 90-94 corridor, one to three south.
