Beyond the Game: Milwaukee Bucks Assistant Coach Joe Wolf

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Kohler native Joe Wolf is living the dream. He loves his life and his job as Milwaukee Bucks lead assistant coach.

Wolf has worked hard enough to get here. He toiled for several years in pro-basketball's minor leagues before making it to Milwaukee.

The way Wolf looks at it, the challenges of coaching at the lower levels prepared him for his current position.

It has been more than three decades since Wolf was such a great high school basketball player at Kohler. In 2005 he was voted the best prep player in state history.

Wolf played big time college ball at North Carolina, after which he enjoyed an 11-year NBA career.

48-year-old Wolf says he wouldn't trade his career path, because among other things, he learned a valuable life lesson: patience.

Wolf has gone from a shy, humble teenage star to a confident coach who has even signed with the Bucks as a TV commentator. He says having his family nearby is truly a blessing.
