Students show off their projects at MPS Science Fair

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- What do Albert Einstein and Thomas Edison have in common with 200 Milwaukee Public School students?  They all have a love for science.

The students showed off their projects at the MPS Science Fair at the Milwaukee County Zoo.

"You get to see all these people really come together and show off their thoughts and reasoning and it`s really cool to me," student Kyle Radomski said.

More than 200 kids from 30 different schools displayed their projects.  Everything from a bike powering a light bulb to a test of soda on teeth was exhibited.

"It’s looking at them individually, project by project and figuring out what they did well and maybe they could do better," volunteer Sarah Rohe said.

Organizers say the fair boosts confidence and spurs a growing interest in science.  The number of students participating this year was up from 150 to 200.
