Hartland man killed after his motorcycle strikes Pewaukee squad

PEWAUKEE (WITI) — A Village of Pewaukee police officer had his squad car struck by a motorcycle on Highway 16 Tuesday morning, May 14th.

It happened just before 10:00 a.m., when the officer was responding to debris in the roadway on Highway 16 at E. Wisconsin Ave.

As the officer was positioning his squad car with emergency lights activated, a motorcyclist headed eastbound on Highway 16 struck the right rear quarter panel of the squad.

The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital via Flight for Life. He was identified as 27-year-old Joshua Lang of Hartland. Lang succumbed to his injuries, and was pronounced dead at Froedtert Hospital on Tuesday.

This crash remains under investigation.
