VIDEO: Storm chasers record footage inside Kansas tornado

(CNN) -- The Midwest is still reeling from the devastating tornadoes that tore through Oklahoma and Kansas.

In Smith County, Kansas, two storm chasers captured what it is like to be inside the tornado's fury. Brandon Ivey and Sean Casey rode a tornado intercept vehicle (TIV) through farm fields to catch the twister. Ivey says winds whipped the vehicle around at speed of up to 150 to 175 miles per hour. At one point during the storm, one of the vehicle's doors blown open -- along with the top hatch.

But the TIV2 remained in place through it all.
