MPD officers credited with saving life of 40-year-old woman

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Three Milwaukee police officers are credited with saving the life of a 40-year-old Milwaukee woman this weekend.

Police say shortly after 6:00 p.m. on Saturday June 1st, Officer Frantal was flagged down in the 1600 block of W. Forest Home Avenue and told that there was a person in a car having a medical emergency.

Officer Frantal found the woman to be non-responsive, to have no pulse, and not to be breathing.

Officer Frantal immediately summoned medical attention and called for back-up. He then began life-saving actions by performing one-person CPR and rescue breathing.

Officers Rusch and Steppke quickly responded to Officer Frantal's call for help. They assisted with CPR until the woman's pulse returned.
