SB lanes on I-94 near CTH N reopen after pedestrian struck

KENOSHA CO. (WITI) -- All southbound lanes on I-94 east were temporarily closed near CTH N in Kenosha County Friday morning, June 7th after a motorist struck a pedestrian.


According to police, a motorist traveling southbound on I-94 near CTH N in Kenosha County struck a female pedestrian who was walking in the southbound lanes of traffic at approximately 3:05 a.m.

Wisconsin State Patrol Troopers and Kenosha County Sheriffs Deputies responded to the scene. A State Trooper and a Kenosha Deputy conducted CPR on the victim until Paris Fire and Rescue arrived and took over lifesaving efforts.

I-94 southbound traffic was closed and traffic was detoured while the crash scene was investigated by the WI State Patrols Technical Reconstruction Unit.

The female victim sustained serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to St. Catherines

Hospital in Kenosha and then by Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa. State Patrol is currently coordinating the investigation to determine how this traffic crash occurred.
