Allen Addison Jr. is wanted for child abuse

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- U.S. Marshals are looking for 28-year-old Allen Addison Jr. -- a man accused of child abuse.

Officials say Addison Jr. has been arrested 16 times since 2002.

In January of 2013, Addison Jr. was accused of punishing an eight-year-old who misbehaved in school. Officials say he struck a child numerous times with a plastic hanger, causing several woulds and bruising welts.

Officials say during the process of taking the case to court, Addison Jr. vanished. They say Addison Jr.'s behavior has become more and more violent.

In 2011 and 2012, Addison Jr. was accused of domestic violence. When that case made its way to court, investigators say the victim that needed to testify never showed up, and the cases were dismissed.

Officials believe if that victim had taken the stand, the most recent child abuse case could have been prevented.

Law enforcement believes he may be hiding out on Milwaukee's Northwest side.

U.S. Marshals say he has visible tattoos -- one reads "Kimberly" and the other says "Ashley."

If you've seen him your asked to call 414-297-3707.
