WALWORTH COUNTY (WITI) —  WIS 11 is closed in both directions between WIS 89 and Pink’s Lane. About one foot of standing water is currently on the roadway.

Westbound motorists should head south on County X to I-43, south on I-43 to US 14, west on US 14 back to WIS 11. Eastbound motorists travel east on US 14, north on I-43 and north on County X.

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) continues to monitor flooding conditions in the southeast region. For up to-the-minute travel information, visit http://www.511wi.gov.

WisDOT offers the following tips on traveling in flooding conditions:

  • Do not attempt to drive through flooded areas.
  • If there is no other route, get to higher ground and wait for the waters to subside.
  • Even if the water appears shallow enough to cross, don’t try it. Water hides dips in the road.
  • Six inches of water will reach the bottom of most passenger cars, causing loss of control or possible stalling.
