Police investigate three separate shooting incidents
MILWAUKEE (WITI) — Milwaukee police are investigating three separate shooting incidents that occurred Sunday night, June 30th and early Monday morning, July 1st.
The first incident occurred at about 4 p.m. Sunday in the 4200 block of N. 47th Street. According to police, a 35-year-old Milwaukee man sustained a gunshot wound to the leg. He was transported to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
No suspects have been taken into custody.
The second shooting incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. Sunday in the 2900 block of N. 55th Street. Officials say a 44-year-old Milwaukee man sustained a fatal gun shot wound to his abdomen.
Police continue to search for suspects in this case.
The third shooting occurred at 12:35 a.m. Monday in the 2300 block W. Finn Place. Police say a 14-year-old Milwaukee male accidentally shot himself in the wrist while playing with a gun. He was treated at a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
