MILWAUKEE — Before Tuesday night’s 6-2 loss to San Diego at Miller Park, The Brewers traded reliever Francisco Rodriguez to the Baltimore Orioles for 3rd base prospect Nick Delmonico.
The team’s 2nd loss in as many games without the suspended Ryan Braun may have cost them the loss of another starting pitcher.
Donovan Hand suffered a right hand contusion after he was struck by a 97-mph fastball while trying to bunt.
The Brewers said x-rays were negative and Hand is day to day.
About the only bright spot over the past two days was Khris Davis hitting his first career homer.
Davis was called up to take Braun’s spot on the roster.
Game three of the four game series is Wednesday night at Miller Park.
