Brewers get blasted in Colorado

DENVER (WITI) -- Brewers' starting pitcher Wily Peralta came into tonight's game as the best MLB pitcher since June 17th, going 3-1 in his last six starts. But tonight's game would cost Peralta a little damage to his ERA as the Rockies stole seven hits from the righty, scoring eight. Only five of the eight runs were earned since the Brewers made two errors.

Peralta couldn't take all the blame, the offense failed to get runners home. The crew only scored three runs on eight hits making this a final score of 8-3, Rockies.

But on a positive note, Rookie Rob Wooten got his first major league strike out today fanning the Rockies' Tod Helton.

The Rockies and Brewers go back at it tomorrow in Denver for game two of three.
