Germantown officer hurt while trying to enter condo on fire

GERMANTOWN (WITI) -- A Germantown police officer suffered an eye injury while making a forced entry into a condo on Riversbend Circle West on Friday evening, August 16th.

The fire at the condo caused between $75,000 and $80,000 in damage.

Germantown fire officials determined the fire started in a bathroom vanity -- possibly from a mixing of cleaning and bathroom products resulting in a chemical fire.
