Motorcyclist hurt after being struck by debris from truck

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- A motorcyclist was hurt after he was struck by road debris that came off a pickup truck on Saturday, August 17th.

The motorcyclist was traveling in the left lane of northbound I-43 just after 12:30 p.m. when some cardboard came off a truck in the center lane. Officials say the motorcyclist tried to duck to avoid the debris which caused him to hit the median wall and flip over the barrier into the southbound lanes of traffic, separating him from his motorcycle.

The driver was transported to Froedtert Hospital, and was conscious and breathing when he was taken by ambulance via North Shore Fire/Rescue.
