Not in the cards; Brewers lose, 8-5

MILWAUKEE -- Despite home runs by Norichika Aoki and Aramis Ramirez, the Brewers fell to the Cardinals at Miller Park Monday night, 8-5.   The first game of a series that could have been critical in the standings when the schedule came out is just another tough loss for the Crew.

Milwaukee was ahead 5-4 entering the eighth inning, but the Redbirds got to Brandon Kintzler and Burke Badenhop for four runs.

Juan Francisco struck out four times for the home team before being replaced at first base by Yuniesky Betancourt.  He now has eight consecutive strikeouts.
