Divers recover body of man from Milwaukee River

MILWAUKEE (WITI) — Milwaukee Police divers recovered the body of an adult male from the Milwaukee River shortly before 1 p.m. on Tuesday, August 20th.

Divers and Marine Unit officers had been searching the river near E. Chicago Street for a 35-year-old Milwaukee man who was with the 30-year-old woman who was pulled from the river at about 9:30 p.m. on Monday.

Officials are waiting for the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner to confirm the identity of the deceased and to determine the cause of death.
