Strong storms cause damage in northeast Wisconsin

NORTHEAST WISCONSIN (WITI) --  Severe thunderstorms swept across portions of northeast Wisconsin during the overnight hours.  Numerous trees and power lines are down, causing problems for many residents in the area. Structural damage was also reported.

One of the hardest hit areas was Shawno County. The damage had calls pouring into the county's dispatch center. There were even reports of a funnel cloud in Bondeul, however, that has not been confirmed.

Authorities say it could take some time before they know the full extent of the damage sustained -- but are thankful that no serious injuries were reported.
