Biker band of a different sort rocks House of Harley

GREENFIELD (WITI) -- Music is an important part of Harley-Davidson's 110th Anniversary Celebration. On Thursday, August 29th, a biker band of a different sort kicked off a charity ride at the House of Harley in Greenfield.

The biker band on this stage was The Barrettes. They may be named after a girl's hair accessory, but these women ride and glide through a hardcore musical show -- with a bit of alternative punk.

Joolz, the drummer, is the head of her Milwaukee HOG Chapter.

"I've been riding for twenty years. I ride a 2006 Street Glide," said Joolz.

Whether man or woman, at an event like the one at the House of Harley, the band members say there are common bonds -- and bonds transcend all else.

Besides shows for biker events, The Barrettes say they are popular with the roller derby crowd too.
